Frequently Asked Questions
Have a question? Give us a call or email us for an answer. This lists frequently asked questions that relate to our services:
1.
Our system is under warranty and it has a problem. How do we report it and get it resolved?
Justice Systems has provided the System Administrator for your system with an 800 number to call for warranty support. If your Administrator allows, you can call that number directly. Alternatively, you may email warranty@justicesys.com and identify the facility in the subject heading and the problem in the body.
Justice Systems will open a warranty call number to the problem and keep that call number open until the issue is resolved to your Administrator’s satisfaction.
2.
Our system is not under warranty and has a problem. Can we still report it and have Justice Systems resolve it?
Justice Systems responds to hundreds of such requests annually at a reasonable hourly charge, plus expenses. Call Justice Systems through our office number and state the name of your facility and express the need for follow-up service. Alternatively, you may email service@justicesys.com and identify the facility in the subject heading and the problem in the body.
Justice Systems will open a work ticket and quote an hourly rate for the service. If you desire, we can provide a not-to-exceed quotation. We will respond upon receipt of a purchase order for the services.
3.
Another company put our system in and it has a problem. Would Justice Systems be able to diagnose and repair the problem and /or provide ongoing support in lieu of the original company?
Most often, the answer is “yes.” Justice Systems services numerous systems originally installed by other firms. Occasionally, the answer will be more nuanced. This will frequently involve proprietary obstacles (e.g., software that is password protected or hardware whose only source is the original company) or obsolescence (e.g., discontinued parts). But we can usually solve those problems.
Call Justice Systems through our office number and request a Service Evaluation. Alternatively, you may email service@justicesys.com and notify us of your desire for an evaluation. In most cases this evaluation will be minimal charge. We will determine our ability to repair and service your system before providing a quote for repairs.
4.
We are planning to replace our systems, but not sure the best method of doing so, or how much it will cost. Can we phase it? What can be reused, if anything? Can Justice Systems help us?
We routinely prepare replacement evaluations and provide evaluation reports for agencies. Our findings and justification reports have led to funding for more than fifteen (15) substantial upgrades with project values totaling nearly $15 million. For minimal charge, these reports estimate the remaining longevity of the system, document problems reported to us by the agency, document problems evident during our walk-through, briefly recommend broad solutions, and provide a rough-order-of-magnitude budget. For a greater fixed fee, we also research obsolescence, evaluate reuse, develop phasing plans, help analyze and select alternative replacement technologies, and prepare detailed recommendations, schedules, and budgets.
Call Justice Systems through our office number and request a Replacement Evaluation. Alternatively, you may email info@justicesys.com and notify us of your desire for an evaluation.
