King County Children and Family Justice Center
Winner of the Design-Build Industry Association (DBIA) 2020 Merit Award, the King County Children and Family Justice Center (CFJC) creates a non-threatening setting to holistically serve justice-involved youth and their families. The CFJC provides youth and family court services together with a therapeutic detention center. The facility combines a 10-courtroom courthouse with a 112-bed juvenile detention center, as well as 16-bed transition housing module, and various classrooms and educational / program spaces.
Justice Systems was the design-build subcontractor for the low voltage systems on this 200,000 gsf facility, including the following systems:
1. Detention security systems
2. Non-detention security systems
3. Audiovisual (AV) systems
Our experienced team self-performed the PLC-based detention security system including body-worn duress alarms, intercom, paging, utility controls, door controls, and access controls integration. We pride in our design and execution of our work. This project has demonstrated our core strengths as integrators to integrate both controls and electronic security to protect our community.
